About Megan
Hello! I am Megan Edgar, and I am the Child Care Manager at Beaufort Children’s Centre. I have been an Early Childhood Educator for 7 years and have been at Beaufort for 4 of those years. I have my ECE, Infant and toddler, and Special Needs certifications, which I completed through North Island College. I am dedicated to child led learning, emergent curriculum, and learning along side children. Being Indigenous, of the 9 allied Tsimshian tribes of the Lax kw’alaams First Nation, I am passionate about sharing traditional songs, stories, and Indigenous language. I am committed to the inclusion of Indigenous learning and teachings in my practice.
I am a mommy & bonus mommy to four amazing children (ages 17, 8, 7, & 3). We are a hockey family through and through with my three oldest playing at the moment and my youngest fighting to get on the ice.
I am grateful and proud to be able to learn along side all of you and your wonderful children.
