Ladybug Room:

About Paul
Paul has been working as an Early Childhood Education for 27+ years.
Family is very important to Paul. He has been married to his wife, Carol, for 34 years and has two grown daughters who are also married now. Paul’s oldest daughter has two sons, age two and age five.
In April 2022, Paul celebrated his 20 year anniversary working at Beaufort Children’s Centre. Most of those years were spent working with toddlers, but Paul has also worked with infants (when Beaufort had an infant room). For the last two years, Paul has worked in the Lady Bug room with Beaufort’s preschoolers. He has had the privilege of observing the growth of the toddlers he has worked with at the Centre as they move up to become ladybugs with him. Paul will complete North Island College’s Infant and Toddler Diploma program this April 2023.
When asked what he loves most about working with young people at Beaufort Children’s Centre, he shared the following thoughts:
“Being in this environment is always stimulating. Children challenge my perceptions of the world; I learn so much from them. They notice the little things that adults take for granted. It is easy to give and receive love from children. Their honesty is refreshing. Their friendship, genuine. I am so pleased to serve the families of the Comox Valley.”
